1000 sign ups surpassed on world environment day

The regions green champions, Sustainability South West (SSW), have been on the (sustainably travelled) road 2-8 June offering members of the public exclusive Fair Shares, Fair Choice carbon cards which show what a climate safe and fair carbon share is for everyone who lives in the South West region. All sectors are showing their support for the principle of ‘a globally fair and safe carbon share for all.’ Supporters include local councils; South West MPs; local and big businesses; schools; universities; national parks, AONB’s and wildlife trusts; charities; community groups; scores of local residents; celebrities and most recently over 150 local councillors from all the major political parties!

Visit FSFC for a chance to win!

The South West’s low carbon initiative Fair Shares, Fair Choice (FSFC) will feature at events around the region during 2-8 June. Members of the public can visit the FSFC stand to work out their carbon footprint and find out their personal carbon budget for the year, as well as picking up tips and challenges on how they can reduce their carbon emissions to get in budget.

Capping off a great day!

In late May, Sustainability South West (the charity which coordinates Fair Shares, Fair Choice) held a hands on Fair Shares, Fair Choice (FSFC) workshop with Tamar Valley AONB staff. The Tamar Valley team got stuck in with short interactive exercises which helped them to work out their individual carbon footprints and choose personal carbon-cutting challenges.

Fair Shares, Fair Choice goes LIVE!

12th March 2007

School children helped the charity, Sustainability South West, to launch Fair Shares, Fair Choice, on Thursday 22nd March. The launch included the production of the first ever personal carbon budget cards which will support the project to help individuals, businesses, community groups, public agencies and other organisations to take positive action on climate change.
