Don’t worry if you do not have them though, as we have also provided some average figures to use instead. Fair Shares, Fair Choice recommends that you only calculate your carbon footprint every 6-12 months to allow your low-carbon lifestyle changes to ‘take effect’ and have a bigger impact on your result.
The Fair Shares, Fair Choice calculator will give you a good idea of your carbon footprint from home energy use, personal travel and consumption (using official figures wherever possible for the calculations). However, if you want to take a more in depth look at your emissions we suggest that you also try out the calculator on the government’s ‘Act on CO2’ website.
